My name is Paula, I am from Bogotá, Colombia.
At the beginning, I had a normal childhood, but in 10th May 2001, my life took an unexpected direction.

Although I have had seizures since I was 12 and they made me feel weak and helpless, when I grew I discovered that life is more than seizures, bullying, doctors and lots of medicines ( Valproic acid, carbamazepine, epamin, keppra…) and slowly I began to make my own life.

From 2006 to 2012 I studied in the university, besides, since 2008 I have been working as a teacher. I have traveled to many places in my country and had many experiences that I believed I would never live due to the epilepsy and the overprotection of my parents (issues which sometimes made me feel unable) such as: riding a horse, swimming, doing extreme sports, travelling, wear a cosplay of my favorite character and finding my first love.

I learnt too, that each person advances at their own pace, we aren’t in a contest, so it doesn’t determine how successful you are, the only thing which matters is coming your dreams true and overcome yourself with a nice attitude towards life. In fact, I met my first boyfriend when I was 25, also, I travelled by myself at 26, I wore my first cosplay when I was 27, I learnt to swim at 28,I slipped in canopy when I was 29, and I wish to live more experiences until the last day of my life! .

I have released a video blog called Purple Paus where people can know how to enjoy life, especially trips in my country with our purple companion, everyone is welcome. If you are interested in sharing or following me, you can find me here:
